Annual SMR Picnic
ANNUAL SMR PICNIC AUGUST 24, 2025
This is the official announcement for the annual SMR Picnic at Kemptown Park. The Park is located at 3456 Kemptown Church Rd. Monrovia, MD. Entrance to the Park is through the parking lot of the Kemptown Elementary School. The Picnic is preceded by the Tour d’ Picnic if you are doing the Tour.
Contact me at mcpd849@verizon.net or by phone at 301-414-0394 to RSVP. Please let me know by 8/20 so we can order the appropriate amount of fried chicken and drinks. The Picnic is FREE to all SMR, FSK and Bethesda Chapter members. Guests are welcome but we will have to charge a $10 fee per guest to help cover costs.
The time of the Picnic will be at approximately 12:30PM at Shelter #3 at the top of the hill.
Please bring a side dish or dessert to share with others. Set up time is 10:00 AM if you would like to assist.
If you are aware of any member who does not get email, please call and let them know about the Picnic.
As is tradition, food will be served to you in the order that I receive your RSVP’s so let me know ASAP.
In case of inclement weather please check your email in case the Picnic needs to be cancelled.
